Additional information: On the meadows which form the outskirts to Brandenburg there is set up a piece of art by Wolfgang Stübner called "Japanese gate". It originated in 1995 as part of a whole ensemble to which belong also wooden Maya's figures as well as a cubic bank.

Since the beginning of the 70s Wolfgang Stübner developed continuously from an autodidact in the field of wooden creation to the approved sculptor with universal sphere of activity, in particular in the area of the sculpture. At the age of 40 he gave up his well paid-up middle-class occupation as a certified engineer in the civil engineering and from then on he devoted himself comprehensively to the art and the artistic life. Free lancer since July, 1989; in 1991 inauguration of own studio „studio in the sculpture park” in Bruchmühle near Berlin with constant personnel exhibition and residence – now in Wilkendorf. Numerous study trips led him to Scandinavia and almost all European countries, to Asia, Africa, North America and South America, New Zealand and Australia.

Hagenower Ring, 13059 Berlin

The name, which was given in 1984, goes back to the city of Hagenow near Schwerin.
